CARSON CITY PURCHASING AND CONTRACTS Notice regarding BID No. 26300304 (PWP-CC-2026-287) Carson City solicited bids for the Jump Around Carson (JAC) Signs & Lighting Project. Bid was required to be submitted in accordance with the bid documents, drawings and plans, specifications, and special conditions. The deadline for bid proposals was April 9, 2026, at 2:00pm, at which time, no proposals were received. As a result, the City is prepared to award a contract directly, without competitive bidding. NRS 338.1385 provides authority to award a contract without competitive bidding if no bids are received in response to advertisement for bids in certain circumstances. NRS 388.1385(7) provides: 7.  A public body may let a contract without competitive bidding if no bids were received in response to an advertisement for bids and: (a) The public body publishes a notice stating that no bids were received and that the contract may be let without further bidding; (b) The public body considers any bid submitted in response to the notice published pursuant to paragraph (a); (c) The public body lets the contract not less than 7 days after publishing a notice pursuant to paragraph (a); and (d) The contract is awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Carson City hereby provides such notice and will award the contract for this project to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to submit on or before April 24, 2026. If no such bid is received, Carson City may make a direct award without further notice. Responses shall be submitted through NGEM.
