CHATHAM COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED POLLING PLACE CHANGE Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-265(a) Notice is hereby given that the Chatham County Board of Elections and Registration has made changes to the polling place locations for the following precincts: Precinct 2-04 Fellowship of Love will be collocating with 2-03 W.W. Law Center Current Polling Location: 1402 Harmon Street, Savannah, GA 31401 New Polling Location: 2-03 W. W. Law Community Center- 909 East Bolton Street, Savannah, GA 31401 Reason for Proposed Change: Fellowship of Love is no longer available Precinct 1-13 The Sanctuary will be collocating with 1-14 St. Luke United Methodist Current Polling Location: 8912 Whitefield Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406 New Polling Location: 1-14 St. Luke- 9114 Whitefield Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406 Reason for Proposed Change: The Sanctuary is no longer available Precinct 8-17 Georgia Tech will be collocating with 8-18 Seventh Day Adventist Current Polling Location: 210 Technology Circle, Savannah, GA 314070 New Polling Location: 8-18 Savannah First Seventh-Day Adventist Church- 50 Godley Way, Savannah, GA 31407 Reason for Proposed Change: Georgia Tech is no longer available Precinct 3-11 Southside Baptist Church has been permanently combined with 3-09 ConneXion Church New Polling Location: The ConneXion Church- 5411 Skidaway Road, Savannah, GA 31406 Reason for Proposed Change: Southside Baptist Church is no longer available; ConneXion Church is nearby and provides a large enough space to house the combined registered voters permanently Statutory Notice Requirement (O.C.G.A. § 21-2-265(a)): The superintendent of a county or the governing authority of a municipality shall not change any polling place until notice of the proposed change has been published once a week for two consecutive weeks in the legal organ for the county or municipality. Additionally, during the seven days before and on the day of the first election following such change, a notice of such change shall be posted on the previous polling place and at three other places in the immediate vicinity thereof. Each notice shall state the location to which the polling place has been moved and shall direct electors to the new location. At least one notice at the previous polling place shall be a minimum of four feet by four feet in size. The occupant or owner of the previous polling place, or his or her agent, shall be notified in writing of such change at the time notice is published in the legal organ.
