CIRTPA Notice of Public Meeting
The Central Iowa Regional Transportation Planning Alliance will host a public input meeting to receive comments on the Federal Fiscal Years 2027-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (FFY 2027-2030 TIP) Draft. The meeting will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in the CIRTPA Conference Room, 939 Office Park Road, Suite 306, West Des Moines, Iowa 50265. The meeting is also available via Microsoft Teams at https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/292724860773059?p=Cu4ACaCIQpLGmzlnJ9. The public can stop by anytime in the 3-5pm window to share comments about the Draft TIP.
The TIP contains four years of projects CIRTPA member governments anticipate implementing using federal transportation dollars. The TIP is the programming document for all surface transportation projects that receive Federal funds, including: street and highway, transit, rail, bicycle, and pedestrian projects in the CIRTPA Planning Area Boundary. CIRTPA updates the TIP annually and at member governments' request. CIRTPA informs the public as to what member governments' and participating agencies' intentions are regarding these projects and the use of these federal dollars.
CIRTPA will host the public input meeting using the open forum format to encourage the meeting
attendees to express their views, share their opinions, and ask their questions regarding the proposed
projects. Members of the public may share their opinion with CIRTPA staff in two ways: 1) orally at the meeting or 2) by submitting written comments to CIRPTA before the end of the public comment period on July 15, 2026.
The FFY 2027-2030 Draft TIP is available on CIRTPA's website, www.cirtpa.org. Please contact Senior Planner, Alyssa Schaeffer with any comments or questions at (515) 304-3524 or aschaeffer@midiowaplanning.org.
