The meeting was called to order by Mayor Scott Mikkelsen August 26, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Grimes Community Complex, 410 SE Main Street, Grimes, Iowa. PROPOSED ACTION ITEMS Ordinance 801 Brookside Village PUD Amendment F.K.A Fagen Property Rezone Council member Borcherding entered the meeting at 5:32 p.m. Senior Planner Martin presented the details of the proposed rezone from commercial to mixed-use. The concepts shown include a building with high-density residential, and some commercial on the lower level. Public Hearing on Ordinance 801 Brookside Village PUD Amendment F.K.A Fagen Property Rezone Mayor Mikkelsen opened the Public Hearing at 5:36 p.m. No oral or written comments were made. Mayor Mikkelsen closed the Public Hearing at 5:36 p.m. First Consideration of Ordinance 801 Brookside Village PUD Amendment F.K.A Fagen Property Rezone Council discussed the rezone and asked questions of staff and Jared Murray with Civil Design Advantage.
