CITY OF ASBURY PARK BOARD OF EDUCATION NOTICE OF BOARD MEETING DATES 14. 2026-2027 Meeting Dates Open Public Meeting Law (Resolution) WHEREAS the Board of Education at its Organization Meeting on January 6, 2026 adopted a Resolution referred to under the Open Public Meeting Law as the "Annual Notice", which sets forth the meeting dates as follows: THAT the Board of Education of the City of Asbury Park establish its 2026-2027 Meeting schedule, with the Meeting commencing at 5:30 p.m. at Bradley Elementary School, 1100 Third Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712 as follows: Meeting Dates January 22, 2026 February 26, 2026 March 26, 2026 April 23, 2026 May 28, 2026 June 25, 2026 July 23, 2026 August 27, 2026 September 24, 2026 October 29, 2026 November 19, 2026 December 17, 2026 January 5, 2027 (Organization) BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Board of Education does hereby designate The Asbury Park Press and The Coaster as official newspapers to receive notice of meetings; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT all required notices of the Board of Education shall be posted on the bulletin Board in the City Hall of the City of Asbury Park, Main Street and filed with the City Clerk; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT persons requiring notice of all meetings for 2026-2027 prepay for them in the amount of $20.00 and that the aforementioned news media not be required to pay the set fee and that persons wishing such notices shall communicate in writing with the Secretary of the Asbury Park Board of Education, 1200 Bangs Avenue, 3rd Floor, Asbury Park; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon the affirmative vote of a majority of the members present, the Board of Education of the City of Asbury Park may hold a meeting without compliance with the notice requirements if: (1) such a meeting is required in order to deal with matters of such urgency and importance that a delay for the purpose of providing adequate notice would be likely to result in substantial harm to the public interest; (2) the meeting is limited to discussion and action with respect to such matters of urgency and importance; and (3) notice of such meeting is provided as soon as possible after the call of such meeting; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this annual notice be published within seven (7) days following this meeting.
