NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City Commission of the City of Fort Pierce, Florida, pursuant to Section 125-37 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Pierce, will on Monday, August 3, 2026, hold a Quasi-Judicial Public Hearings in the City Hall Commission Chambers, 100 North U.S. Highway 1, Fort Pierce, Florida, at their meeting which begins at 5:05 p.m., to consider review and approval of the following:
An application (PZSITE2026-00008) for Major Site Plan (Development and Design Review) with Conditional Use to allow Adult Congregate Living Facilities by property owner, Grace Way Village, Inc. represented by Haley Ward, Inc., to construct a family shelter community centered on temporary housing with associated site improvements on 7.84 acres located at 1780 Hartman Road, Fort Pierce, FL. The property is zoned General Commercial (C-3). Parcel ID: 2417-322-0001-000-2.
An application (PZSITE2025-00029) for Minor Site Plan: Conditional Use with New Construction submitted by property owner, Caliber Contracting, Incorporated and Representative, Giangrande Engineering & Planning, to develop a 9,600 sq. ft building at 3700 Okeechobee Rd. and 1903 S. 37th St., Fort Pierce, FL. The new development will be used to store 8,000-10,000-gallon tanks. The property is zoned General Commercial (C-3). Parcel ID: 2417-331-0010-000-6 and 2417-331-0001-00-0.
An application (PZSITE2026-00016) for a Conditional Use with New Construction to construct a three-story, five bedroom, five bathroom, single-family home, east of the coastal construction control line with a height of 35 feet above the FEMA-based flood elevation of 4 feet at 1840 Surfside Drive, Fort Pierce, FL. The property is zoned Single-Family Low-Density Zone (R-1). Parcel ID: 2412-501-0124-000-4.
All interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the Application(s). Said applications will be available for inspection in the City Clerk's Office, City Hall, 100 North U.S. Highway 1, Fort Pierce, Florida.
ANY PERSON SEEKING TO APPEAL THE DECISION OF THE CITY COMMISSION AS TO THE FOREGOING IS ADVISED THAT A RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS IS REQUIRED IN ANY SUCH APPEAL AND THAT SUCH PERSON MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS IS MADE INCLUDING THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
