CITY OF JOHNSTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Johnston, Iowa ("City") will meet on the 1st day of June, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers, Johnston City Hall, 6221 Merle Hay Road, Johnston, Iowa, to consider adoption of a resolution authorizing the use of eminent domain to acquire necessary private property interests for public right-of-way known as Pitch Parkway, which was previously approved and constructed as part of a development agreement with Ignit Johnston, LLC. If the City is unable to acquire property interests needed by negotiation, the City will acquire those interests by condemnation. At said meeting, each property owner whose property is proposed to be acquired by eminent domain, any contract purchaser of record of the property, and any tenant known to be occupying the property, shall have a right to voice objection to the proposed acquisition of the property. The proposed property interests to be acquired are shown on acquisition plats on file in the office of the Johnston City Clerk, 6221 Merle Hay Road, Johnston, Iowa.
