CITY OF KELLEY, IOWA
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Planning and Zoning Board of Kelley, Iowa, will conduct a public hearing beginning at 6:00 PM on July 14, 2026, in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 1111 Grace Street, Kelley, Iowa, on a petition for a variance to the zoning regulations as applied to the property described as: 1) Property ID # 13-05-200-435 commonly known as 1117 Ford St. Kelley, Iowa.
The petition requests that a variance from the city ordinance 165.03 section 1 be granted. Specifically, the request is to allow an accessory building WITHOUT a primary, which exceeds the limitations established by the ordinance. An accessory use or accessory structure means a use or structure subordinate to the principal use of a building or land on the same lot or parcel and serving a purpose customarily incidental to the use of the principal building or use of land.
Any interested person(s) or parties may appear, either in person or by agent, for or against the proposed variance. The hearing of this appeal is not limited to those receiving copies of the notice, and if you know of any neighbor or affected property owner, who for any reason has not received a copy, please inform him or her of this public hearing. Pursuant to section 414.5 of the Code of Iowa, protests must be filed in written form and signed. This notice is published by order of the City of Kelley pursuant to sections 362.2 and 414.4 of the Code of Iowa.
