CITY OF MILLVILLE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Millville Zoning Board of Adjustment will conduct a public hearing with respect to a bulk variance application submitted by Cumberland County Community Church, a New Jersey non-profit religious corporation, with respect to the proposed placement of a 196 square foot façade sign identifying the entrance of the Worship Center on the campus of the Church, located at 1800 E. Broad Street in the City of Millville, officially designated on the City Tax Map as Lot 2 in Block 347.01.
The hearing will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 6, 2026 in Richard C. McCarthy Commission Chambers, 4th Floor, Millville City Hall, 12 S. High Street, Millville, NJ 08332. At the hearing, at said time and place, all interested parties will be given an opportunity to be heard in accordance with the rules, regulations and procedures of the City of Millville Zoning Board of Adjustment.
This application relates to a developed parcel of land, officially designated on the current Tax Map of the City of Millville as Block 347.01, Lot 2, and has a street address of 1800 E. Broad Street, Millville, NJ 08332, and is the location of a House of Worship operated under the Applicant's name, Cumberland County Community Church.
To provide further information, the site in question is located in the MDR (Medium Density Residential) Zoning District, as delineated on the City of Millville Zoning Map.
As stated, the applicant seeks dimensional bulk variance relief in conjunction with the proposed placement of a 196 square foot façade sign on the east facing wall containing area of a large campus building. Although the area of the proposed sign encompasses considerably a relatively modest percentage of the wall on which the sign is proposed to be placed, the proposed sign is larger than the square footage for such a sign permitted under Section 30-264F(2) of the City of Millville Land Use and Development Regulations Ordinance.
The applicant also seeks such other variances, deviations, design exceptions, design waivers, submission waivers, interpretations or plan modifications as may be determined to be necessary during review and hearing approval of this application as submitted.

High Street, Millville, NJ 08332, where they are available for inspection by all interested parties during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, holidays excluded).
This Notice is given in compliance with the requirements of the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law (N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et. seq.) and the relevant provisions of the City of Millville Land Use and Development Regulations Ordinance.
