CITY OF ORMOND BEACH PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Adjustments and Appeals of the City of Ormond Beach, Florida pursuant to the City's Land Development Code, will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 6:00 PM in the City Commission Chambers at the Ormond Beach City Hall, 22 South Beach Street, Ormond Beach, Florida, for the purpose of hearing all parties in interest and to consider and act upon the application of A. Joseph Posey, Jr. on behalf of Truman E. Gailey, Jr., property owner of 153 Heritage Circle, for one variance related to the construction of a 34' by 28' detached garage structure on the rear of the property. The property at 153 Heritage Circle is in the R-2, Single-Family Low Density zoning district and section 2-13(B)(9)(b) of the Land Development Code requires a 25'-rear yard setback. The applicant is requesting a rear yard setback of 13.5' to construct a detached garage structure, requiring a rear yard variance of 11.5' to the required 25'-rear yard setback. The property is located at 153 Heritage Circle, Volusia County Parcel Number:4219-03-00-0130 and is legally described as LOT 13 INC IRREG PART OF LOT 14 BEING 71.13 FT ON S/L ADJ TO LOT LINE OF LOT 13 HERITAGE FOREST SUB MB 34 PG 165 PER OR 2477 PG 0949 PER OR 6796 PGS 1883-1886 INC PER OR 8364 PG 3401. ALL PERSONS IN INTEREST and persons for or against the requested variance shall have the opportunity to be heard at this Public Hearing.
