CITY OF ORMOND BEACH PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Commission of the City of Ormond Beach, Florida, will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in the City Commission Chambers, Ormond Beach City Hall, 22 South Beach Street, Ormond Beach, Florida, for the purpose of hearing all interested parties with respect to the following proposed ordinance scheduled for second reading: ORDINANCE NO. 2025-34 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ORMOND BEACH, FLORIDA, FURTHER AMENDING ARTICLE I, GENERAL EMPLOYEES' PENSION PLAN, OF CHAPTER 16, PENSIONS AND RETIREMENT, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES; AMENDING SECTION 16-6, BENEFIT AMOUNTS AND ELIGIBILITY; AMENDING SECTION 16-9, VESTING; PROVIDING FOR A BENEFIT MULTIPLIER FOR CREDITED SERVICE EARNED ON OR AFTER OCTOBER 1, 2025, FOR MEMBERS HIRED ON OR AFTER DECEMBER 19, 2012; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF PROVISIONS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. ALL PARTIES ARE INVITED to appear and submit oral or written objections or comments. The failure of a person to appear during said hearing and comment on or object to the proposed item, either in person or in writing, may preclude the ability of such person to contest the proposed item at a later date. A copy of this ordinance is available for inspection by the public in the Finance Department, Ormond Beach City Hall, 22 South Beach Street, Ormond Beach, Florida. Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, if any person decides to appeal any decision made by a City board and/or commission with respect to any matter considered at these public meetings, such person will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose, such person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
