CITY OF VAN METER NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION RACCOON RIVER BRIDGE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CITY OF VAN METER, IOWA At 7:00 P.M. on the 13th day of July 2026, the City Council of the City of Van Meter, Iowa will, in said Van Meter United Methodist Church, 100 Hazel Street, Van Meter, Iowa, hold a hearing and said Council proposes to adopt plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the Raccoon River Bridge Improvements. The description of the project is as follows: RACCOON RIVER BRIDGE IMPROVEMENTS Project includes all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install new pavement surface overlay and repairs to the structure of the Raccoon River Bridge and Overflow bridge as described in the construction documents. The project is located west of the intersection of F90 and R22 Dallas County, IA At said hearing, the City Council will consider the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the project, the same now being on file in the office of the City Clerk, reference to which is made for a more detailed and complete description of the proposed improvements, and at said time and place the said Council will also receive and consider any objections to said plans, specifications and form of contract or to the estimated cost of said improvements made by any interested party.
