CITY OF WORCESTER PROPOSED ORDINANCE The City Council of the City of Worcester at a meeting held in City Hall on June 16, 2026 voted to advertise the following on a roll call vote of Nine Yeas and No Nays: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SALARY ORDINANCE OF AUGUST 20, 1996 Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Worcester, as follows: Section 1: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, Appendix C of the Revised Ordinances of 2008 (Salary Ordinance of August 20, 1996) be and is hereby amended by deleting the following words and figures in Section 7.7 : 7.7 Emergency Overtime Pay for Water Filtration Plant Supervisors Notwithstanding the provisions of section 7.1 of this Appendix, the City Manager may authorize emergency overtime pay for employees in the classification of Chief Pumping Station Operator and Watershed Forester. The overtime shall be paid at the rate of $50.00 per hour for actual service when assigned to emergency operations. And insert in lieu thereof the following: 7.7 Emergency Overtime Pay for Water Filtration Plant Supervisors Notwithstanding the provisions of section 7.1 of this Appendix, the City Manager may authorize emergency overtime pay for employees in the classification of Chief Pumping Station Operator. The overtime shall be paid at the rate of $50.00 per hour for actual service when assigned to emergency operations. Section 2: This ordinance shall be made effective January 1, 2026.
