COAST GUARD ROAD STORMWATER PUMP STATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be accepted by the City Public Works Director or Directors' designee at the City of Florence Public Works Department, 2675 Kingwood St, Florence, OR 97439; the time of the bid receipt will be recorded by either official. Acceptance of bids will be officially closed at 2:00 PM local time: July 14, 2026, and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on June 25th, 2026 at 10:00 AM local time, meeting at the City of Florence Public Works Department. The City of Florence is requesting qualified Contractors to submit bids on the CITY OF FLORENCE COAST GUARD ROAD STORMWATER PUMP STATION PROJECT. The project generally consists of the following work: Construction of approximately 535 feet of 6-inch diameter HDPE storm sewer force main and connection to an existing manhole on Rhododendron Drive, installation of a new wet well, valve vault, and power disconnect cabinet to be provided by the Owner, modifications to the existing storm sewer system, installation of one catch basin and approximately 40-feet of new 12-inch diameter storm sewer pipe, construction of a new power and controls pedestal, trenching work to support electrical and conduit installation work by others, all required site work, and support during the startup and testing of the new stormwater pump station. The contract is anticipated to be awarded on July 20, 2026. The Work shall be substantially complete by December 15th, 2025 (120 calendar days, assuming a notice to proceed date of August 17, 2026). ST 26-01 All proposals must be submitted on the regular forms furnished and shall be accompanied by an unconditional certified check or bidder's bond in an amount equivalent to five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid. The award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder who will be asked to furnish a separate 100% Corporate Surety Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond for the faithful performance of the contract. The Contractors may be asked to have their Surety furnish a letter certifying they have currently reviewed the Contractor's financial statement and that the Contractor is financially sound prior to award.
