COTTRELLVILLE TOWNSHIP ST. CLAIR COUNTY, MI ORDINANCE NO. 03A-2026 At a regular meeting of the Township of Cottrellville Board of Trustees held on April 8, 2026, the Township Board adopted Ordinance No. 03A-2026. This Ordinance repeals in its entirety Ordinance No. 08-02, known as the "Local Officials Compensation Ordinance." Going forward, compensation for elected Township officials shall be determined by the Township Board in accordance with applicable state law. The Ordinance provides that the repeal applies prospectively and does not affect compensation actions taken in good faith prior to the effective date. The Township Board may, at its discretion, establish a nonbinding advisory committee to review and make recommendations regarding compensation. The Ordinance includes standard provisions related to severability, repeal of conflicting ordinances, and publication. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after publication, as provided by law.
