Cancellation of Election and Declaration Deeming Candidates Elected WHEREAS, Colorado Revised Statute §1-5-208(1.5) authorizes the Designated Election Official, upon Board resolution, to cancel the election and declare the candidates elected if, at the close of business on September 2, 2025, there are not more candidates than offices to be filled at the election, including candidates filing affidavits of intent to be write-in candidates. WHEREAS, there were not more candidates for Trustee than offices to be filled, including candidates filing affidavits of intent to be write-in candidates. WHEREAS, the Designated Election Official of the District has been duly authorized by the Board of Trustees to cancel and declare candidates elected by Resolution on September 2, 2025. NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to C.R.S. 1-5-208(1.5), the Designated Election Official HEREBY cancels the regular election to be conducted on November 4, 2025.
