City of Burlington Board of Education Annual Notice of Meetings - 2024 RESOLUTION #3988-26 WHEREAS, the Open Public Meetings Act (CH 231 PL 1975) requires the adoption by a public body of a schedule for the regular meetings to be held during the calendar year; and WHEREAS, upon proper notice under that Act given, no further notice of regularly scheduled meetings will be necessary; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Education of the City of Burlington Public School District of the County of Burlington and the State of New Jersey hereby designates its monthly meetings as outlined below, and unless otherwise modified by Resolution of this body or indicated below, such meetings shall commence at 6:00 PM. The Board of Education may begin each meeting with a work session and/or executive session meeting. Meetings shall be held in the Wilbur Watts Intermediate School Large Group Instruction Room, 550 High Street, Burlington, NJ 08016. A copy of all notices of special meetings of the Board of Education shall, at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of said meeting, be sent to the Burlington County Times, filed with the Clerk of the City of Burlington, and posted at the following locations: On District Web-Site Bulletin Board located at 518 Locust Ave., Burlington, NJ Bulletin Board located at 550 High St., Burlington, NJ The following newspapers, circulating in Burlington County are hereby designated the official newspapers for transmittal of all notices of the Board of Education required hereunder: Burlington County Times Any person may request in writing that the Board of Education mail to him/her a copy of the schedule of regular meetings of the Board of Education and/or advance written notice of regular, special, or rescheduled meetings of the Board of Education. Upon pre-payment of the applicable fee hereinafter set forth, such schedule and/or advance notice shall be mailed to each person. Upon the affirmative vote of ¾ of the members present, the Board of Education may hold a meeting without compliance with the notice requirements of this resolution, if such meeting is required to deal with matters of such urgency and importance that delay for purpose of providing adequate notice would be likely to result in substantial harm to the public interest. A copy of this Resolution shall, within seven (7) days, be mailed to the above named newspapers, the City of Burlington Municipal Clerk, and posted as required. ************** I, RAYMOND A.
