City of Cuyahoga Falls The Department of Community Development is currently seeking Economic Development grant applications for the 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Year. APPLICATION PERIOD: The Department will accept applications beginning February 27, 2026, through March 20, 2026. To be deemed complete and eligible for review, submitted applications must contain all requested documentation at the time of filing. FUNDING & ELIGIBILITY: Total funding for the 2026 project year is capped at $236,000.00. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligible projects must satisfy a National Objective as outlined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and align with the City's objectives within the current Five-Year Consolidated Plan. REQUIREMENTS & RESTRICTIONS: Applicants must provide leveraged funds for each proposed project. Under no circumstances will the City approve projects requesting funding for administrative/staffing costs or activity delivery expenses.
