PROJECT: City of Fort Myers Police Department Headquarters
Wharton-Smith, Inc. is proudly the Construction Manager serving the City of Fort Myers and is soliciting proposals from prequalified subcontractors for the construction of the Fort Myers Police Department Headquarters
The project consists of a new 184,060 SF, ground up tilt-wall facility including an indoor firing range, K9 kennels, evidence and vehicle processing, detention holdings, offices, and a state-of-the-art command center.
A non-mandatory in-person Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2026, from 3 – 5PM, at The Collaboratory Fort Myers, located at 2031 Jackson St, Fort Myers, FL 33901 Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend; however, attendance is not mandatory. A second, virtual Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Wednesday March 18th, 2026.
Bids may be emailed to comest@whartonsmith.com. Bids received after the appointed date and time will be subject to rejection. Bids will only be accepted from Prequalified Firms utilizing the required Form of Proposal included in the Bid Package.
The RFI deadline is March 20, 2026. Please submit RFI's to comest@whartonsmith.com. Do not contact the Architect or Owner for information on this project.
M/WBE Subcontractors & Suppliers are encouraged to participate. The MBE/WBE goal for this project is 15%
Payment & Performance Bonds may be required.
