City of Petoskey Public Hearing Public notice is hereby given that the City of Petoskey City Council will conduct a public hearing at 6:00pm, Monday, November 17, 2025, in the City Hall Council Chambers, 101 East Lake Street, Petoskey, Michigan, to receive comments from potentially affected property owners concerning a proposed levy of special assessments at a 2.6% increase for funding of 2026 downtown-area programs and services as requested by the Downtown Management Board. Appearance and protest at the November 17 public hearing concerning special-assessment proceedings is required in order to appeal the amount of the special assessment to the Michigan Tax Tribunal. In lieu of a personal appearance, property owners may file a protest letter with the City Manager at 101 East Lake Street, Petoskey, Michigan, 49770, by mail or by personal delivery prior to the November 17 public hearing.
