City of Yreka Notice of Public Hearing - Tentative Parcel Map No. 2025-61

Project Description: The City Council will review a tentative parcel map application submitted by Collins Properties, LLC. The request is to divide Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 053-662-730 (205 Humbug Rd.) into two separate parcels. The property is currently 1.17 acres and contains a single-family home and a shop. The proposed division would create two parcels of about 0.60 acres each. As part of the proposal, the existing shop would be converted into a single-family home. No changes are proposed to the General Plan's Low Density Residential designation or the Low Density Residential (R-1) zoning.
Environmental Review Information: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the local CEQA Guidelines of the City of Yreka, this project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is listed as a Class 3 and Class 15 Categorical Exemption. Class 3 consists of the construction of small-scale facilities, including a single-family residence. Class 15 consists of the division of property in urbanized areas zoned for residential, commercial, or industrial use into four or fewer parcels when the division is in conformance with the General Plan and zoning.
Public Comment: Public comment may be given on this project in several ways: 1) By emailing arocalezra@yrekaca.gov. Please identify the specific item you are commenting on and whether your comment should be read at the City Council meeting by City Staff; 2) By mailing written comments to City Hall, 701 4th Street, Yreka, CA 96097 and note if your comment should be read at the City Council meeting by City Staff; 3) attending the public hearing at City Council on the noted date, time, and location above in person. If a member of the public wishes to challenge the proposed project, comments may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered prior to the public hearing.
