Cleaning & Televising SS & Manhole Inspections 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees for the Village of Woodbury, Orange County, New York will accept and read aloud sealed bids until 2:00 PM prevailing eastern time on the 6th day of January of 2026, at Village Hall, 455 Route 32, Highland Mills, New York, for "Cleaning and Televising
of Sanitary Sewers and Manhole Inspections - 2025".
The proposed work includes the cleaning and televising 19,769-linear feet of sewers, visual inspection of 130 manholes, and cut protruding laterals and/or roots; reports documenting the inspections performed and deficiencies observed shall be provided to the Village for consideration of needed repairs as part of
future work.
Bidder's proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, or bid bond, payable to the Village of Woodbury, equal to five (5) percent of the amount bid, conditional that if the bidder's proposal is accepted, he will enter into contract for such work and that he will furnish a performance bond in a sum
equal to the total amount of the bid guaranteeing the satisfactory completion of the Contract; and that he will furnish a labor and materials payment bond guaranteeing payment for all labor and materials. If the bidder whose proposal is accepted shall fail to comply with the above requirements within ten (10)days after the proposal shall have been accepted, then the check or bid bond deposited as aforesaid shall be forfeited as liquidated damages.
All proposals shall be made on the form provided in the specifications. Proposals shall be sealed and marked on the outside of the envelope "Cleaning and Televising of Sanitary Sewers and Manhole Inspections - 2025" and shall be addressed to the Village Clerk, Village of Woodbury, Village Hall, PO Box 546, Central Valley, New York 10917, which is the mailing address for all bids. Proposals will be publicly opened and read at 455 Route 32, Highland Mills, NY, at the aforesaid time and date unless bidders are notified otherwise.
To the greatest extent allowed by Law, the Village Board reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bids or proposals, and to select the bid or proposal, the acceptance of which in its judgment will best serve the efficient performance and guaranteed completion of the work or to reject any and all bids presented, or to award the Contract to other than the low bidder if in the opinion of the Board the best interest of the Village may be served thereby, or to accept the whole or any part of a bid or proposal as the same may be modified by mutual consent, or to re-advertise the proposed work for new bids within the sole discretion of said Village Board.
Attention of bidders is called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. Worker's Compensation and Public Liability Insurance shall be carried by the Contractor at their own expense. Bidders are further advised that they must submit non-collusion affidavits together with their bids, in accordance with the requirements of New York State Law.
Bidders are advised that they should not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the municipality prior to incorporation into the work.
Copies of the bid documents may be obtained from the Village Clerk, 455 Route 32, Highland Mills, New York 10930 (845-928-7558, Ext. 52) or from the Office of the Engineer, H2M architects + engineers, 2 Executive Boulevard, Suite 401, Suffern, NY 10901 (845-357-7238) upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of Fifty Dollars ($50.00). Nonrefundable deposits shall be made by check payable to "Village of Woodbury". The Owner and his agents will not be held responsible for full or partial sets of contract documents, including any addenda, obtained from any other source.
