DEQ NOTICE OF TIER II DRAFT PERMIT A Tier II application for an air quality TV construction permit has been filed with the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) by applicant, Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co., P.O. Box 321, Oklahoma City, OK 73101. The applicant requests approval to replace two (2) gas-fired combustion turbines and construct two (2) new gas-fired simple-cycle combustion turbines, as replacement generating capacity at the Tinker Turbines located at 3000 S Douglas Blvd, Midwest City, OK, 73145. In response to the application, DEQ has prepared a draft construction permit (Permit Number: 2025-0595-C), which may be reviewed at Midwest City Library located at 8143 E Reno Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73110 or at the Air Quality Division's main office (see address below). The draft permit is also available for review in the Air Quality Section of DEQ's Web Page: http://www.deq.ok.gov/ This draft permit would authorize the facility to emit the following regulated pollutants: 50.32 tons per year (TPY) of NOx, 56.82 TPY of CO, 58.53 TPY of VOC, 5.48 TPY of SO2, and 39.51 TPY of PM. The public comment period ends 30 days after the date of publication of this notice. Any person may submit written comments concerning the draft permit to the Air Quality Division contact listed below or as directed through the corresponding online notice. A public meeting on the draft permit may also be requested in writing at the same address. Note that all public meetings are to be arranged and conducted by DEQ staff.
