Board Vice-Chair Mayberry-Mayes presided until Chair Norris presided. Present: Alonzo, Campos, Dix, Knox, Martorano, Mayberry-Mayes, and Norris (arrived 5:35pm) The directors approved the following items: 5-0, Norris, Knox not present at vote. 1. Approval of agenda The directors held a public forum for speakers attending in person. The directors approved the following consent items: 7-0. 1. VOTE on All Consent Items 2. Approval of Minutes from July 8, 2025 3. Update to Print Shop leased equipment cost 4. Special Education Contract with Heartland AEA 11 5. Increase in spend approval for FY25 vendor service- ICN(network fiber repair) 6. Resolution to consider the sale of DMPS radio station 7. 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC) SY25-26 8. Preschool 28E Agreement - Westminster 9. RFI9206 Filters and Installation 10. Approval of additional funds for Montessori Curriculum Materials 11. Ratification: Multi-Day Instructional Summit 12. Personnel Recommendations 13. Interdistrict 28E Agreement for HSAP (Shared-Time Students) 14. Ratification: ELL Curriculum Material 15. Superintendent Evaluation FY26 Committee Recommendation 16. Election List for Nurses for FY26 Items of privilege: Chairs Report: Norris-Shared her excitement about back to school. Thanked the HR team for their good hiring numbers. Knox-echoed Ms. Norris's excitement and encouraged the community to get involved with your community school, for example North has posted their booster club has some open volunteer spots. Superintendent's Report: Dr. Roberts noted that HR has done a great job hiring and today welcome 270+ new teachers for the districts. He also expressed gratitude to the team of teachers, staff, students and board members who attended and participated during the State Fair parade. Also shared that hosted the second back to school backpack giveaway at McCombs with the Caitlin Clark Foundation and Musco lightning along with Meals from the Heartland and Scholastic Books. Lastly recognized the Bilingual Family Liaisons who assisted in registering over 1500 students & families back to school. The directors approved a motion to go into closed session according to 21.5.1.c: 7-0 The board met in closed session from 5:48pm – 6:16pm.
