Directors met in a regular session from 5:32–6:18pm. Board Vice-Chair Mayberry-Mayes presided until Chair Norris presided.
Present: Alonzo, Campos, Dix, Knox, Martorano, Mayberry-Mayes, and Norris (arrived 5:35pm)
The directors approved the following items: 5-0, Norris, Knox not present at vote.

The directors held a public forum for speakers attending in person.

Items of privilege:
Chairs Report: Norris-Shared her excitement about back to school. Thanked the HR team for their good hiring numbers. Knox-echoed Ms. Norris's excitement and encouraged the community to get involved with your community school, for example North has posted their booster club has some open volunteer spots.
Superintendent's Report: Dr. Roberts noted that HR has done a great job hiring and today welcome 270+ new teachers for the districts. He also expressed gratitude to the team of teachers, staff, students and board members who attended and participated during the State Fair parade. Also shared that hosted the second back to school backpack giveaway at McCombs with the Caitlin Clark Foundation and Musco lightning along with Meals from the Heartland and Scholastic Books. Lastly recognized the Bilingual Family Liaisons who assisted in registering over 1500 students & families back to school.
The directors approved a motion to go into closed session according to 21.5.1.c: 7-0
The board met in closed session from 5:48pm – 6:16pm.
The directors reconvened in open session and approved a settlement agreement: 7-0
Meeting adjourned at 6:18pm.
