CORTER, residing at 13 Grove Street, Sussex, County of Sussex and State of New Jersey, by way of Complaint states: 1. The Plaintiff was lawfully married to the Defendant on June 7, 2014 in a civil ceremony in Franklin, New Jersey. 2. The Plaintiff was a bona fide resident of the State of New Jersey, County of Sussex when this cause of action arose and has ever since and for more than one year next preceding the commencement of this action continued to be a bona fide resident of the State of New Jersey, County of Sussex. 3. The Defendant, Donna Corter's current address is unknown to the Plaintiff. 4. During the last six months or more the parties have suffered irreconcilable differences which have caused the breakdown of the marriage and which make it appear that the marriage should be dissolved. There is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation. 5. There were no children born of the parties' marriage. 6. There was one (1) prior proceeding involving the parties entitled Jeffrey A. Corter v. Donna Corter, Docket No. FV-19-302-23 which resulted in a Final Restraining Order dated February 6, 2023. 7. Both real and personal property has been legally and beneficially acquired by the parties during their marriage, which is subject to equitable distribution. WHEREFORE, the Plaintiff demands Judgment against the Defendant as follows: A. Dissolving the marriage between the parties, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2A:34-2(i); B. Equitably distributing all property, both real and personal, which was acquired legally and beneficially during the marriage, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2A:34-23.1; C. Directing the Defendant to pay Plaintiff's counsel fees and costs, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2A:34-23; and D. For such further relief as the Court may deem equitable and just.
