NOTICE OF ORDINANCE ADOPTION AND SUMMARY
TAKE NOTICE that on December 18, 2025, the Township Board of Eagle Township, Clinton County, Michigan, adopted Ordinance No. 12-2025, Revocable Wolverine Power Electric Service Franchise Ordinance (the "Ordinance"). The Ordinance will take effect upon publication. The Ordinance is available for inspection at the Township Hall, 14318 Michigan Street, Eagle, MI 48822, during regular business hours. Copies may be obtained for a reasonable charge. The following is a summary of the Ordinance.
SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 12-2025
Section 1. New Article IV Section 19 of the Code of Ordinances. Section 1 of the Ordinance adds a new Article IV Wolverine Power Electric Service Franchise Ordinance to Section 19 of the Eagle Township Code of Ordinances, which grants Wolverine Power Supply Cooperative the authority to a non-exclusive franchise for a period of 30 years to acquire, construct, operate, and maintain in the Township the necessary facilities for the transmission and sale of electric energy.
Section 2. Repealer. Section 2 repeals all ordinances or parts of ordinances that conflict with the Ordinance to the extent necessary to give the Ordinance full force and effect.
Section 3. Effective Date. Section 3 states the ordinance shall take effect upon publication.
