Emerald Lakes CLOMR
The Lee County Community Development Department, in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the County's intent to revise the flood hazard information, generally located between the Lee County-Charlotte County line to the north, US 41 to the west and Western Access Rd to the south. The flood hazard revisions are being proposed as part of Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) Case No. 25-04-4548R for a proposed project with onsite lakes. JR Evans Engineering, P.A. is proposing to update the FIRM, Hydrologic and Hydraulic Models as part of the development of a vacant parcel of land into a proposed single-family residential development.
Once the project has been completed, a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) request should be submitted that will, in part, revise the following flood hazards along several unnamed ponding areas and lakes.
1. Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) will be established for the unnamed ponding areas and lakes.
2. The SFHA will be established for the unnamed ponding areas.
Maps and detailed analysis of the revision can be reviewed at the Lee County government offices located at 1500 Monroe Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901. Interested persons may call the Lee County Floodplain Administrator at (239) 533-8948 for additional information.
