The Avoca Village Board of Trustees is currently accepting applications through November 10, 2025 for the position of Grant Writer/Researcher for the Village of Avoca. This position is a part-time position at 3 Chase Street in the Village of Avoca. Details of the position includes:
Starting Hourly Rate to be Established Based on Experience Flexible Work Hours – Remote Work as Applicable
Supplement the Current Grant Writing and Research being Done by the Village of Avoca
Work Under the General Supervision of the Mayor
Applicants must be:
A Citizen of the United States
18 Years of Age
Previous Experience in Federal and State Municipal Grant Writing/Research and the Corresponding Computer Systems
The duties of the position include working in conjunction with the Mayor and Village Clerk in researching Federal, State or Private Grants for the Village of Avoca. Duties also include on-line research, preparation of grant applications and gathering the required documents for any grant processing.
This position is by appointment of the Mayor with approval by the Board of Trustees and no civil service testing is required. This position is looking to be filled by December 31, 2025.
