Englewood Cliffs Board of Education Notice to Bidders Notice is hereby given that the Englewood Cliffs Board of Education Board of Education will be receiving sealed bids at the board offices located at 143 Charlotte Place, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632 for the Upper Gym Mechanical Replacement Project at the Upper School. The project generally consists of replacement of the existing two rooftop mechanical units serving the Upper Gym at the Upper School. This work includes, but is not limited to the following: • Removal and disposal of existing rooftop units, ductwork, accessories, etc. • New electric panels, distribution, and connections to existing • Installation of new HVAC units including all duct and utility connects, controls, curbs, roof modifications, etc. • All other associated work as shown on the drawings and specified herein. A copy of the bid instructions, bid forms, specifications, and plans may NOT be picked up in person. Electronic versions of the plans and specifications are available from the office of the Architect beginning on November 10, 2025. All necessary bid specifications and bid forms may be secured upon written request to FKA Architects, 306 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ by sending an email to info@fkarch.com, by calling FKA Architects at 201-644-0505, or online at www.fkarch.com. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope and delivered to Ms. Julyana Ortiz, Business Administrator/Board Secretary at the Englewood Cliffs Board of Education Offices, 143 Charlotte Place, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632, with the name of the project, "Upper Gym Mechanical Replacement Project at the Upper School" plainly marked on the front of the envelope. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act as to the Bidder and all subcontractors. All bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include with its bid its own Business Registration Certificate and that of all subcontractors. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. This project is a school facilities project as defined in the Education Facilities Construction and Financing Act, N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-1 et seq. and may be funded in part with grant monies from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA). All contractors and subcontractors engaged by the Board to work on this project shall agree to be bound by the terms of a Grant Agreement issued by the SDA, which, if applicable, will be available for inspection at the Board office during business hours. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. Bids must be submitted to the Englewood Cliffs Board of Education no later than 10 o'clock am on December 9, 2025. All bids will be opened and read to the public at that time by the School Business Administrator at the board offices. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the opening of the bids. The Englewood Cliffs Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Englewood Cliffs Board of Education.
