FORT SHAW IRRIGATION DISTRICT NOTICE OF ELECTION

FORT SHAW IRRIGATION DISTRICT NOTICE OF ELECTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners for Fort Shaw Irrigation District (FSID), Cascade County, Montana will hold the Annual Regular Commissioner Election on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The purpose of the election is to elect one (1) commissioner for a three-year term (District 2 currently held by John Myers), and one (1) commissioner for a three-year term (District 4 currently held by Ken Steinke). If it is later determined that any portion of the election is not required, the Board of Commissioners authorizes Charla Merja, FSID Secretary, and the Cascade County Election Administrator to cancel that portion of the election in accordance with 13-1-304, MCA. This election will be conducted solely by mail ballot. Ballots will be mailed to all eligible voters in the District on April 16, 2026, and must be returned by mail to the Cascade County Election Office, P.O. Box 2305, Great Falls, Montana 59403-2305; or in person to the Cascade County Election Office, 325 2nd Ave North, Great Falls, Montana during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays). On Election Day, May 5, 2026, voted ballots must be deposited at the Cascade County Election Office, 325 2nd Ave North, Great Falls, Montana, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In the upcoming election for FSID, the water district maintains a certified list of the designated agents who can cast a ballot. Contact the district secretary in writing by either email or mail by US Postal Service if you need to change a designated agent or are unsure whether your designated agent certification is accurate.
