Under and by virtue of an order of the Superior Court of Cumberland County, North Carolina, made and entered in the action entitled "COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND and THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, political subdivisions of the State of North Carolina vs. DORIS JOYNER, Owner(s)", the Commissioner will at 12:00 noon, on the 04/30/2026, offer for sale and sell for cash, to the last and highest bidder at public auction, at the courthouse door in Cumberland County, North Carolina, in Fayetteville, the following described real property, lying and being in Township, State and County aforesaid, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a stake, the Northeast corner of Lot No. 1, now David Walker's Northeast corner in the Western margin of the Wilmington Road, and running thence South 74 degrees, West 200 feet to a point; thence North 10 degrees West 60 feet to a point; thence North 74 degrees, East 200 feet to a point in the Western margin of the Wilmington Road; thence with the Western margin of said road South 10 degrees, East 60 feet to the Beginning and being a part of the tract of land described in a Deed from Mrs. Ludella Barnes Rayburn and husband, L.S Rayburn to C.J. Wiggs and wife, dated July 12, 1937, registered in Book 400, Page 11, in the Office of Register of Deeds for Cumberland County. Together with improvements located thereon; said property being located at 722 Old Wilmington Road, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
Subject to restrictive covenants, easements, rights-of-way, restrictions, and other conditions which appear of record in the Cumberland County Registry. PIN No.: 0436-78-6797
This conveyance is made subject to restrictive covenants, easements, and right-of-way of record.
The said property is being sold as is, with all existing conditions or faults. The last and highest bid will be accepted and will be final and irrevocable and may not be withdrawn and shall not be refunded after the sale. The last and highest bidder shall be responsible for making any investigation deemed appropriate prior to sale as to the condition of the property, the state of title to the property, or any other matter affecting the property.
The sale will be made subject to all outstanding city and county taxes and all local improvement assessments against the above-described property not included in the judgment in the above-entitled cause. This sale will not convey any personal property that may be located on the real property and the Commissioner makes no warranties or representations as to whether improvements to real property are real or personal in nature. A deposit of 20% or $750.00 whichever is greater in cash or certified funds of the successful bid will be required.
