Under and by virtue of an order of the Superior Court of Cumberland County, North Carolina, made and entered in the action entitled "COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND, a political subdivision of the State of North Carolina vs. JAY LEE MORRIS, JR., all assignees, heirs at law, and devisees of JAY LEE MORRIS, JR., deceased, together with all his/her creditors and Lienholders regardless of how or through whom they claim, and any and all persons claiming any interest in the estate of JAY LEE MORRIS, JR., deceased, Owner(s); MIA MARGARET MCCONNEL, Owner(s)", the Commissioner will at 12:00 noon, on the 05/07/2026, offer for sale and sell for cash, to the last and highest bidder at public auction, at the courthouse door in Cumberland County, North Carolina, in Fayetteville, the following described real property, lying and being in Township, State and County aforesaid, and more particularly described as follows:
All of the residual interest in all Tracts transferred to Jay Lee Morris and wife, Virgie Teague Morris by Deed of Record Book 2681, Page 0043 and not subsequently transferred to March Development Corporation Profit Sharing Plan by a Deed of Record in Book 3054 on Page 0004 and more easily described by Parcel ID Number 0434-20-3985 comprising .62 acres.
Subject to Right of Way Agreement recorded in Book 2987, Page 573, Cumberland County Registry, and any other restrictive covenants, easements, rights-of-way, restrictions, and other conditions which appear of record in the Cumberland County Registry. PIN No.: 0434-20-3985
This conveyance is made subject to restrictive covenants, easements, and right-of-way of record.
The said property is being sold as is, with all existing conditions or faults. The last and highest bid will be accepted and will be final and irrevocable and may not be withdrawn and shall not be refunded after the sale. The last and highest bidder shall be responsible for making any investigation deemed appropriate prior to sale as to the condition of the property, the state of title to the property, or any other matter affecting the property.
The sale will be made subject to all outstanding city and county taxes and all local improvement assessments against the above-described property not included in the judgment in the above-entitled cause. This sale will not convey any personal property that may be located on the real property and the Commissioner makes no warranties or representations as to whether improvements to real property are real or personal in nature. A deposit of 20% or $750.00 whichever is greater in cash or certified funds of the successful bid will be required.
