Separate and sealed bids will be received at the Greene Township office at 262 Pittsburgh Grade Road, Hookstown, PA 15050 until 3:00 P.M., Prevailing Time on Monday, August 3, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 6:30 P.M. on August 3, 2026 at the Greene Township Building, 262 Pittsburgh Grade Road, Hookstown, PA 15050. Bids are not permitted to be faxed or e-mailed.
CONTRACT NO. C000096773: GEORGETOWN ROAD PAVING PROJECT
Under this Contract, the Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, supplies and labor required for:
The Georgetown Road Paving Project includes the milling, overlay, and widening of Georgetown Road. The project includes installation of asphalt base, binder and wearing courses, new roadway construction along each shoulder, signage, soft spot repair and other work as indicated by the Contract Specifications.
Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the office of The EADS Group, located at 11045 Parker Drive, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. To obtain copies of the Bidding Documents call (412) 754-0801 (x412) between the hours of 8:00 and 4:00 Monday thru Friday or email lmeyerholz@eadsgroup.com. In-person pick-ups will not be permitted. Bidders must obtain bidding documents from the Issuing Office to be eligible to bid.
Electronic versions of the Bidding Documents are available for the non-refundable fee of fifty-three dollars ($53.00). Printed versions of the Bidding Documents are available for the non-refundable fee of one hundred six dollars ($106.00) plus a non-refundable $10.00 mailing fee. Both prices include 6% Pennsylvania Sales Tax. Checks shall be payable to "The EADS Group, Inc.". Printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office via mail delivery only.
A certified check, payable to the Owner, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a Surety Company, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid.
The successful Bidder(s) will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids, or to waive any errors, omissions, defects, or informalities, and to award the contract as may be deemed in the best interest of the Owner. The successful Bidder(s) will be required to fully complete all work within forty-five (45) calendar days.
Attention is called to the fact that PA State Prevailing Wages, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid on this project(s).
All Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Contract Compliance Regulations of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, 16 PA Code Chapter 49 and with all laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring or employment opportunities.
This project was financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community & Economic Development.
