Gilbert City Council Minutes Council Chamber December 22, 2025, at 6:30 PM Present: Mayor Jonathan Popp. Councilmembers; Shaon Anderson, Steve Mahoney, Tera Sitzmann and Carmon Wilson. Guests: Brent Randolph, Tyler Gray, Amanda Gray, Josie Gray, and Jake Hanson. City employees: Kyler Brekke, and Macy Denning. Mayor Popp led in the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve consent agenda items; agenda for December 22, 2025 (Anderson/Wilson). MCU (4). Open Forum: Deputy Grubbs gave an update on retirements within the Sheriff's Office. Asked everyone to drive safe over the Holidays. Motion to approve the second reading of Ordinance 352 Regulating driveways and driveway approaches. (Wilson/Anderson). Discussion among Council Members. Mayor called for vote; Ayes- None; Nays- Sitzmann, Mahoney, Anderson, and Wilson. Motion denied. Motion to deny tree rebate request- 207 Gretten Street. (Anderson/Sitzmann). MCU (4). Motion to approve Resolution 2025-12-01 Approving employment of City Clerk/ Treasurer, setting compensation, and authorizing employment agreement. (Sitzmann/Anderson) (Ayes; Sitzmann, Mahoney, Anderson, and Wilson, Nays; None, Absent; Rydl). Motion passed. Motion to approve up to $3,500.00 for security at City Hall. (Wilson/Anderson). MCU (4).
