GRAND JURY PRESENTMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The February 2026 Term of the Glascock County Grand Jury convened on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the Glascock County Courthouse with the Honorable Judge Thomas B. "Britt" Hammond, presiding. Judge Thomas B. "Britt" Hammond administered the oath to the grand jurors and instructed them on their duties and responsibilities. Members of the Grand Jury issued the following presentments and recommendations:
Duane Lee Miller was appointed as foreperson, Mack Leon Cartledge, III was appointed Clerk, Carrie Walker and Steve Mathis were appointed and duly sworn as Bailiffs.
We, the Grand Jury of this February 2026 Term, wish to offer our thanks to the Honorable Judge Thomas B. "Britt" Hammond for his informative remarks to this Grand Jury.
We wish to thank District Attorney William Doupe' and Assistant District Attorney Anna Kenerly for their cooperation, diligence, and assistance which greatly expedited the deliberations and action of this body.
We wish to thank the Clerk of Court, Kristie Stephens and Deputy Clerk Lisa Haywood for their courtesy to this Grand Jury.
We would also like to express our sincerest thanks to all law enforcement agencies involved during this Grand Jury session. We specifically thank the Glascock County Sheriff's Office during this Grand Jury session for their dedication and hard work for all of the citizens of Glascock County.
We have acted on all bills of indictment brought before this Grand Jury without fear, favor or affection toward either party involved.
The Grand Jury has received, examined and approved the returns of receipts and disbursements from the Clerk of Superior Court, Board of Commissioners, Probate Court, and the Sheriff's Department as provided by law, and approves the same.
We the Grand Jury, recommend to the court that our general presentments be published in the official organ of Glascock County, Georgia. Reasonable charges for the publication shall be paid out of the county treasury. Exhibits and attachments, including but not limited to financial documents and reports, need not to be published at public expense, but shall be made available to the public at the Clerk of Court or County Commissioner's Office or posted on the official website of this county, if any.

ORDER OF THE COURT
It is hereby ordered that the above and foregoing presentments and recommendations of the Grand Jury of Glascock County, Georgia for the February Term 2026 be spread upon the minutes of the Superior Court of said County and that the same be published in the Jefferson Reporter, the official organ of Glascock County, Georgia. Reasonable charges for the publication shall be paid out of the County treasury, upon certificate of the Court, as other court expenses are paid. Exhibits and attachments, including but not limited to financial documents and reports, are not to be published at public expense but shall be made available to the public at the Clerk of Court or County Commissioner's Office. However, any paper may publish these exhibits and attachments at their own expense.
