HENDRY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Hendry Regional Medical Center is seeking qualified architectural and engineering firms interested in providing professional services for an upcoming rural healthcare facility renovation project.
Interested firms are invited to contact Hendry Regional Medical Center to express their interest and schedule a walkthrough of the facilities under consideration for renovation. Additional project information and procurement requirements will be provided following the walkthrough process.
Following completion of the walkthroughs, Hendry Regional Medical Center intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for architectural and engineering services. The solicitation will include detailed project scope, submission requirements, evaluation criteria, and all applicable contractual and regulatory requirements.
Selection of professional services will be conducted in accordance with applicable federal and state procurement requirements, including Florida law governing qualifications-based selection of professional services, and organizational policy where applicable.
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) – ANTICIPATED SCOPE INFORMATION
Architectural and Engineering Services for Rural Healthcare Renovation Project
Project Overview:
Hendry Regional Medical Center is seeking qualified architectural and engineering firms to provide comprehensive design services for the renovation and adaptation of a newly purchased standalone facility located in Clewiston, Florida. The goal of this project is to transform the existing structure into a fully functional healthcare facility that enhances healthcare delivery in our rural community by improving clinical space, infrastructure, and operational efficiency.
Scope of Work:
The selected firm(s) may be responsible for, but not limited to, the following services:
Conduct facility assessments and feasibility studies.
Develop conceptual design and detailed architectural plans.
Provide full engineering services, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design.
Assist with permitting, code compliance, and regulatory approvals.
Support cost estimating and construction phasing strategies.
Collaborate with hospital leadership and key stakeholders throughout all project phases.
Organization and conduct periodic OAC meetings that include timeline and project milestones.
Qualifications:
Interested firms should demonstrate:
Experience in healthcare facility design and renovation projects.
Knowledge of applicable Florida building codes, healthcare regulations, and federal requirements.
A multidisciplinary team including licensed architects and professional engineers.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare environment.
Commitment to quality design, safety, and sustainability practices.

Proposal Submission Requirements (to be issued in formal solicitation):
Firms selected to advance beyond the walkthrough phase will be required to submit detailed proposals including, but not limited to:
Letter of interest and executive summary.
Firm profile and relevant project experience.
Qualifications and resumes of key personnel.
Proposed project approach and methodology.
Preliminary schedule and planning timeline.
Fee structure or compensation methodology (as applicable under procurement rules).
References from similar completed projects.
Submission Deadline:
The official submission deadline, instructions, and required formats will be provided in the formal RFP following the walkthrough process.
