Historic Preservation Consultant
Legacy Communities of North Florida, Inc. (LCNF), seeking experienced historic preservation consultants to provide professional services for the Elizabeth Elementary School Rehabilitation – Phase I Project located in the historic Dills Community of Jefferson County, Florida.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The selected consultant will be responsible for:
1.Developing a Florida Master Site File (FMSF) for submission to the Florida Department of State, Division of Historical Resources, including all required research, documentation, photography, mapping, and supporting materials.
2.Preparing a National Register of Historic Places Nomination for Elizabeth Elementary School, including historical research, architectural descriptions, significance statements, boundary justification, maps, photographs, and all supporting documentation necessary for review by the Florida Department of State, Division of Historical Resources and the National Park Service.
Minimum Qualifications:
Professional qualifications consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualification Standards in History, Architectural History, Historic Preservation, or a related field. At least five years experience preparing Florida Master Site Files and experience preparing National Register of Historic Places nominations. Knowledge of Florida historic preservation requirements and procedures. Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and work collaboratively with nonprofit organizations and government agencies.
Compensation:
Fixed Fee: $10,000
Compensation includes all labor, travel, research, documentation, and related expenses necessary to complete the scope of work.
Project Deadline:
All work products must be completed and submitted no later than August 30, 2026.
