Project Description
The HORNELL CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT invites bids for the following contracts:
1. General Trades Work – Contract #102
For the proposed "2022 Capital Improvement Project Hornell Intermediate Cast Stone
Replacement" located in Hornell, New York 14843.
The project consists of the construction of improvements and renovations to the Hornell Intermediate
School
Pre-Bid Conference and Walkthrough
A Pre-bid Conference and tour of buildings will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 starting at
9:00 am at the Hornell Intermediate School, located at 71 Buffalo Street Hornell, NY 14843.
Bid Time and Location
Separate sealed bids for the above Contract will be received by the Owner, at the HORNELL CITY
SCHOOL DISTRICT OFFICE, 120 Raider Road Hornell, NY 14843, until 3:00 pm local time
on Thursday, January 15, 2026. The bids will then be opened and read aloud at 3:15 pm at the
HORNELL CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT OFFICE.
Bidding Documents will be available as of now. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from
the Rochester office of Dataflow, Inc., 176 Anderson Ave. Suite F200, Rochester, NY 14607, phone

Bidding Documents may be viewed and bid packages may be obtained from the designated web portal,
www.nyplanroom.com. Please read these instructions before ordering a bid package, as they will outline
the checkout process for electronic deposits. Prospective bidders must obtain a set of bid documents from
the designated web portal, www.nyplanroom.com. Ordering from this web portal automatically places the
prospective bidder on the plan holders' list, and thus eligible to bid the project. This designated web portal
will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information
relevant to submitting a bid for the project. All official notifications, addenda, and other bidding
documents will be offered only through the designated web portal with notifications to registered bidders.
As such, bidders who obtain documents from other sources such as exchange plan rooms will not qualify
as bidders. Neither the Owner, Construction Manager, Architect/Engineer, nor Dataflow Inc will be
responsible for bidding documents, including addenda, if any, that are obtained from sources other than
the designated web portal. a.) Bid documents including plans and specifications are available for electronic
download for a non-refundable fee of $49.00, payable by credit card. b.) Bid documents including printed
sets of plans and specifications may be ordered in paper format for a refundable fee of $100.00, payable by
credit card. Shipping charges may apply. c.) Refunds for printed sets will be made by Dataflow directly to
the credit card provided by the bidder. Refunds for payment of one (1) copy of the printed sets will be
made to those submitting bids on the forms furnished, if the printed sets returned in ADVERTISEMENT

All questions in regard to the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other contract documents will not be
made verbally. All requests for such information should be made in writing, addressed to:

distributed to all registered plan holders in the form of addendum.
Supplemental Bid Information
Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the requirements as to
conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. In
addition, the Bidding Documents for this project contain detailed requirements for the qualification of
Bidders. These include, among other things, rigid bonding and insurance requirements, financial statements,
bank references, lists of lawsuits, arbitrations or other proceedings in which the Bidder has been named as
a party, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and a description of other
projects of similar size and scope completed by the Bidder.
Bids shall be prepared as set forth in "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS", enclosed in a sealed envelope
bearing on its face the name and address of the Bidder and the title of the Work to which the bid enclosed
relates. If submitting for more than one contract, submit each contract bid in a separate envelope.
Each Bidder shall deposit with its bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid
in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS."
