Housing Choice Voucher Wait List Opening PUBLIC NOTICE HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER WAITING LIST SANDUSKY METROPOLITAN HOUSING AUTHORITY (SMHA) will OPEN the Housing Choice Voucher Program waitlist beginning Monday, July 13, 2026 @ 8:00 AM until Thursday, July 30, 2026, @ 4:00 PM. Pre-applications may be submitted online at www.sanduskymha.org. ONLINE APPLICATION IS ENCOURAGED. Paper pre-applications will be available at the SMHA Office at 1358 Mosser Drive, Fremont, Ohio, 43452. Hours of operation for application are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, from 8:00 AM-12:15 PM and 1:00 PM-4:00 PM. Completed paper applications can be returned to the office ONLY when the list is open, or in the drop-box. Applicants already on waiting lists for other housing programs must apply separately for this program. Applicants will not lose their place on other waiting lists when they apply for this program. Applicants must be 18 years of age to apply. The application's Head of Household must be a member of the household at the time the family leases a subsidized unit. The application's Head of Household is responsible to immediately report to SMHA in writing, all changes to address, phone, family composition, and preferences.
