Hudson River Housing

Hudson River Housing Transportation providers and other interested parties are hereby notified that Hudson River Housing, Inc., 313 Mill Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 is applying for a federal grant of up to $75,331.82 under Section 5310 of Chapter 53 of Title 49, United States Code, for the purpose of covering operating costs (driver salaries/benefits, insurance, maintenance, fuel) of a vehicle that accommodates 3 wheelchairs and 7 passengers for a two year period. The vehicle is used to transport seniors and individuals with disabilities who reside in Hudson River Housing operated housing. The transportation service is provided in Dutchess County. The purpose of this notice is to invite private for-profit bus, taxi, ambulette operators and other interested parties to participate in the development of the proposed grant project and in the provision of enhanced transportation services to elderly individuals and individuals with disabilities.
