IFB26-06 - Bresnahan Roof Replacement The MASSACHUSETTS MARITIME ACADEMY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Roof Replacement at Bresnahan Hall in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by GORMAN RICHARDSON LEWIS ARCHITECTS. The Project consists of but not limited to: Remove and dispose of existing ballasted built-up-roofing assemblies and all associated components down to the existing structural deck; install new 2-ply SBS modified bitumen roof assembly and all associated components where indicated on the drawings General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates) and made payable to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. The cost for Labor & Materials Payment Bond and Contract Price Performance Bond shall be included with the Bid price and shall be for one hundred percent (100%) of Contract price. Selection of the Contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price and as outlined in the Bid Documents. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The Bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days (Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded) after the opening of the bids. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. The work is estimated to cost $921,000.00. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 06/10/2026 at 3:00PM EDT for filed sub-bids and by 06/14/2026 at 3:00PM EDT for general bids. General bidders must agree to contract with minority, women and veteran-owned business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO).
