INVITATION FOR BIDS – BUS WASH REPLACEMENT SYSTEM
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Beaver County Transit Authority (BCTA) for a Bus Wash Replacement System to be installed at the BCTA RJO-Expressway Travel Center located at 131 Pleasant Drive, Suite 7, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
The solicitation package may be obtained via email only in .pdf format starting Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. The solicitation package will only be distributed electronically via .pdf attachment. To receive a copy of the solicitation package during the bidding period, you must send an email request to solicitations@bcta.com. "Bus Wash Replacement System" must be included in the subject line and provide contact information as follows: first name, last name, company name, email address and phone number.
Those wishing to visit the facility shall contact brandon.shirk@kci.com to request a pre-bid site visit at the address listed above. This is optional and must be organized with BCTA prior to the visit. The deadline to request a site visit is Monday, December 22, 2025 at 12:00 P.M.
All clarifications, exceptions and/or approved equals requests received after the solicitation package shall be by email only (using form EXHIBIT G located in the IFB) to brandon.shirk@kci.com and must include all contact information listed above. The deadline for clarifications, exceptions and/or approved equals requests shall be Monday, January 5, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. No further bid period requests will be acknowledged after this time.
Submission Date and Bid Opening:
Completed proposals are due no later than 12:00 P.M. EST on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Administrative Offices of the Beaver County Transit Authority located at 200 West Washington Street, Rochester, PA 15074. Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
Proposals must be clearly marked "BCTA Bus Wash Replacement System" and addressed to: Beaver County Transit Authority, 200 West Washington Street, Rochester, PA 15074.
Proposals must include:
• Bidder's name and address on the outside of the envelope.
• One (1) original and three (3) copies of the bid package in the proposer's envelope.
Proposals received later than 12:00 P.M. EST on the Submission Date will not be opened and thereby rejected. A Bid Bond is required for this procurement in the amount of 5% of the total base bid price. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required for this procurement. Each must be in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Bid.
Perspective Bidders must secure the most current Department of Labor prevailing wage decision(s) for the project area. This will also be listed in the Contract Documents. All proposals must remain valid for sixty (60) days after the Submission Date. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of twenty (20) days after the public meeting. BCTA reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
