INVITATION FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the Marlboro Township 2026 PAVING/ROADWAY PROJECT will be received at the Marlboro Township Office, 7344 Edison St NE, Hartville, Ohio 44632 until 3:00pm on June 22, 2026, and will be publicly opened at the next Trustee meeting on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 7:00pm. Bid envelopes shall be marked: "2026 PAVING/ROADWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT" On and after May 11, 2026, copies of specifications and bid forms may be obtained from the Marlboro Township office, 7344 Edison St NE, Hartville, Ohio 44632 (330-935-2830 or abattershell@marlborotownship.org). Each bid shall be accompanied by a proper certificate by corporations not chartered in Ohio, testifying that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of a bid guaranty bond for the full amount of the bid as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications. Each bid shall be in conformity with the Ohio Revised Code, and all bids and certificates shall be upon the forms furnished with the specifications. All bid proposals shall be delivered to the office of the Marlboro Township Trustees at or prior to the date and hour specified for receiving bids. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Work shall not begin prior to authorization in writing by the Board of Marlboro Township Trustees. After receiving notice to proceed from the Board of Marlboro Township Trustees. Work shall be completed before November 1, 2026. The Marlboro Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to decrease or omit any item or items, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept any bid or combination of bids which is deemed most favorable to the Township at the time and under the conditions stipulated. The Board of Marlboro Township Trustees further declare that they will award the contract for this project to the lowest and best bid, which may not necessarily be the lowest bid. The specifications contain Bidder's Profile and Best Bid Criteria designed to gather certain information that may be considered in this regard.
