General Notice – Acquisition of Water Meters and Components
The City of Marianna (City) is requesting Bids for the supply and delivery of approximately 3000 water meters and related components and fittings for their Water Meter Replacement Project, Mott MacDonald Project No. 502101576A. Bids for the purchase of the meters and components will be received by the City of Marianna Clerk's Office located at 2895 Jefferson Street, Marianna, FL 32446 until October 29th, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Local (Central) time. At that time, or shortly thereafter, the Bids will be publicly opened and read at the City of Marianna Commission Meeting Room located at 2897 Jefferson Street, Marianna, FL.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Mott MacDonald, 1022 West 23rd Street, Suite 680, Panama City, FL., 32405. (ph. 850-763-9393). Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office via emailed request sent to Heath.Roberts@mottmac.com and Varshith.Gowda@mottmac.com as described below.
Electronic format of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, for no cost. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither the City nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Addenda, if any, will be provided electronically to plan holders and a return receipt will be requested to verify receipt.
Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on October 15th, 2025 at 2 pm at City Commission Room located at 2897 Jefferson Street, Marianna, FL 32446. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
Sealed bid envelopes are to be marked "BID – WATER METER REPLACEMENT PROJECT – ACQUISITION OF METERS" The City shall accept the bid of the responsible bidder that best meets the needs of the City, taking into consideration, among other things, the financial responsibility of the bidder, capability to perform the contract and deliver the meters/components on a timely basis, previous satisfactory performance, and such other abilities of the bidder that the City, in its sole discretion, determines will enable the bidder to perform effectively and efficiently.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the closing date for the receipt of bids.
The City shall not be liable for any costs incurred by any bidder in connection with its response to this ITB. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, to solicit and re-advertise for new Bid submittals or to abandon the project in its entirety.
