INVITATION TO BID
The Marshfield Select Board, Marshfield, MA (the Owner), requests sealed bids for Rebid of Ridge Road Boat Ramp Improvements, Contract 2026-HM-1R.
Sealed bids for General Contractor Work, endorsed "Rebid of Ridge Road Boat Ramp Improvements, Contract 2026-HM-1R, Marshfield, MA" will be received at the office of the Select Board, 870 Moraine Street, Marshfield, MA 02050, until 10:00 AM, on November 14, 2025. Immediately after, bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.
The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to replacing the existing boat ramp with a concrete boat ramp, new floats and piles and appurtenant work.
The boat ramp work and pile installation shall be completed by March 1, 2026. The other work shall be completed by May 1, 2026. The bidder, in submitting an offer, accepts the Contract Time period stated for performing the Work.
The Town of Marshfield reserves the right to reject any and all bids should it be in the public interest to do so, or to delete or reduce the scope of any work in order to bring the cost within available funds.
MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL LAWS, CHAPTER 30S, 39M, AS AMENDED TO DATE APPLIES. Contract 2026-HM-1 is subject to the minimum wage rates issued by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, in accordance with Chapter 149, Sections 26 through 27D.

Bid Security in the form of a certified check or bid bond, payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of Five percent (5%) of the Bid amount for Bid Alternate A.
Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Engineer, or their respective employees arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation or recommendation of any bid.
