INVITATION TO BIDDERS RECEIPT OF BIDS Sealed bids for the construction of DONALD PRESTON DRIVE will be received by the City of Wolfforth Office: Wolfforth City Hall 302 Main Street #2940 Wolfforth, Texas 79382 806-855-4120 until 2:00 PM CST, April 6, 2026, and bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at 2:00 PM CST on April 6th in the City Council Room, 302 Main Street #2940, Wolfforth, Texas 79382. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK The major work will consist of the (approximate) following: Reconstruct Donald Preston Drive from an existing 5-lane section, maintaining existing alignment, profile, and curb line elevations. As well as the addition of a westbound dedicated right turn lane for the proposed United Development. DOCUMENT EXAMINATION AND PROCUREMENTS The Bidding and Contract Documents will be available online through CivCast at http://www.civcastusa.com/ at no charge. The contractor is required to fill out the Certificate of Interested Parties Form 1295 and the form must be submitted to the Project Manager before the contract will be presented to the City of Wolfforth Council. The form can be obtained at https://www.ethics.state.tx.us/tec/1295-Info.htm . PREBID CONFERENCE A pre-bid conference will not be held. CITY'S RIGHT TO ACCEPT OR REJECT BIDS City reserves the right to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in any proposal. The City also reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to award contracts for individual products or services as may appear advantageous, and in accordance with the law, to negotiate separately in any manner necessary to serve the best interest of the City. INQUIRIES Inquiries related to the Construction Plans or Contract Documents should be asked at http://www.civcastusa.com/. Deadline for Bidder inquiries will be Monday, March 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. CST. BID GUARANTEE Each bidder shall furnish a bid guarantee equivalent to five percent of the bid price (Water Code 17.183). If a bid bond is provided, the Contractor shall utilize a surety company which is authorized to do business in Texas in accordance with Surety Bonds and Related Instruments, Chapter 3503 of the Insurance Code.
