John F.
Azzariti
1/25/1952 - 12/13/2008
Strong and firm he stood and spoke,
shepherding us on our ways.
Never did we think so soon
we’d face his end of days.
Full and gentle was his heart,
as husband, father and brother.
The patriarch of our family,
there can never be another.
Mentor, guide and teacher,
he offered sage advice.
The son of an Italian immigrant,
a deliverer of ice.
With a twinkle in his eye,
faithful adoration for his wife,
he was grateful every moment
for the dream he called his life.
Selfless, thoughtful and loving,
he gave until the end.
For the place his daughters held in his heart,
no other could contend.
A grandfather to four (and more),
Billy, Francie, Johnny and Nate.
To spend a moment’s time with them,
Pop Pop could never wait.
With homemade wines and sauces,
at his castle he held court.
All the time we spent with him
now somehow seems too short.
With his watchful eye and warm embrace
he protects us from above.
Those he touched, forever comforted
in the shelter of his love.
Our patriarch now rests with God,
but we are not apart.
For if we live and love as he taught us,
he lives forever in our hearts.
Loving you and missing you more each day,
Kathie,

Kara & John Gally
Cheers to Pop Pop!
