Invitation for Bid
The City of Monmouth will be conducting a sealed bid for demolition of house and garage at: 1115 South 9th Street.
Bid packets available at City Hall or via email joe.clark@cityofmonmouthil.gov
All bids should be submitted on or before 01/30/2026 in a sealed envelope with contact information on the outside of the envelope. Envelopes will be opened at 10:00 am on January 30th, 2026, by the City Clerk and the Director of Zoning.
Scope of work
Removal of all building debris and concrete.
Asbestos was found during testing, and scheduled remediation will need to be completed prior to demolition.
Requirements and limitations
Contractor must have a certificate of liability insurance and bond on file with City Hall, and the City of Monmouth must be listed as a lienholder.Contractors must obtain permits once proof of all service utilities to be retired and an I.E.P.A. start date is confirmed.Contractors must ensure all containers and equipment do not interfere with passage through street, and if demolition is not completed in first day of demolition a fence must be in place to control access to site.No work will be done on site from dusk till dawn.All salvage scrap must be hauled to scrap yard by a bonded and insured individual or company and by container, tandem, or flatbed truck.Upon completion of the project, the contractor must submit all tip fees/weight tickets from a registered landfill for City review and approval before final payment.
