Invitation to Bid COOK BROTHERS, INC. (CBI), FL. GENERAL CONTRACTOR LICENSE NO. CGC-046567, the Construction Manager for the following project is seeking bids from all qualified bidders. All bidders are required to prequalify for this project. Prequalification forms are on our website and the completed forms are due to the Project Manager no later than EOD Thurs. Oct. 10, 2025. PROJECT: Window Replacement at 7 FDC locations – Century C.I. (Century, FL; Escambia County), Santa Rosa C.I. (Milton, FL; Santa Rosa County), Walton C.I. (Crawfordville, FL; Walton County), Northwest Florida Reception Center (Chipley, FL; Washington County), Calhoun C.I. (Blountstown, FL; Calhoun County), Wakulla C.I. (Crawfordville, FL; Wakulla County) and Union C.I. (Raiford, FL; Union County). DESCRIPTION: Replacement of existing windows with owner supplied new aluminum window units in various buildings. It will require the replacement of existing wood blocking, repair windowsills if necessary, caulking and cutting and rewelding any existing metal security embeds attached to existing masonry openings. Surface mounted security bars may or may not need to be removed and reattached to allow the replacement. The work will be done in occupied inmate areas, and any removed unit will need to have the replacement window completely installed and secured by the end of each workday. Background checks will be required. PREBID MEETING DATE: Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time in the office of Cook Brothers, Inc. located at 1255 Commerce Blvd Midway FL 32343. Stat., Contractor must be registered with and use the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system to verify the employment eligibility of all new employees hired by Contractor during the term of this Agreement. FDC BACKGROUND CHECKS: These projects are located inside of Florida Dept. of Correction Correctional Institutions (C.C.). ALL on-site personnel are required to submit the FDC Background Check form (NCIC-FCIC Request form, found on our website) to the Construction Manager, which will then be submitted to each individual C.I.'s warden for approval. Applicants won't be authorized to visit the jobsite until they've been approved. Previous FDC authorization is not valid for these projects.
