Invitation to Bid The Aransas County Navigation District (ACND) will receive bids for an ACND funded project for Little Bay South Shoreline Improvements Project until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Aransas County Navigation District Office, 911 Navigation Circle, Rockport TX 78382. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the same time and location. Project includes installation of 670 LF of stacked pre-cast concrete beams (beams provided by owner) acting as a retaining structure, deadman and anchors, filter cloth, joint reinforcement, hardware and incidentals along the south shoreline of Little Bay South (the project) and as defined within the construction drawings. The Instructions for Bidders, Bid Form, Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be examined at G&W Engineers, Inc. at 205 W. Live Oak, Port Lavaca, TX 77979 and obtained from www.CivcastUSA.com. There is no charge to view or download the documents. Addendums and other announcements will be distributed via CivCastUSA to all plan holders. A pre-bid conference shall be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Aransas County Navigation District Office, 911 Navigation Circle, Rockport TX 78382. Potential bidders are strongly urged to attend. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. The Aransas County Navigation District encourages bids from small, minority, and women-owned businesses (HUBs). Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or state bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the Aransas County Navigation District, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, guaranteeing that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute any required performance or payment bonds in fifteen (15) business days after notice of award. More information about bonds is found in the bid package. Bids must remain in effect for 30 days after the bid opening date. The Aransas County Navigation District may award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder or reject any or all bids for the project. The Aransas County Navigation District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the Aransas County Navigation District, and reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids.
